Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time contract at a healthcare facility located in Decorah, Iowa. The role involves supporting various surgical procedures, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB-GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental, with a focus on maintaining sterile technique and assisting surgical teams.

Job Details

• Position: Surgical Technologist (Specialty: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician)
• Location: Decorah, Iowa
• Certifications and Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, Surgical Technologist Certification preferred, State of Iowa Mandatory reporter training, and American Heart Association BLS required.
• Schedule: Primarily 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may fluctuate slightly based on surgical case load, with start times as early as 6:00 a.m.
• Experience: 0 years minimum required.
• Additional Responsibilities: Includes participation in on-call rotation approximately 1 night per every 2-week pay period, and staffing every 5th to 6th weekend, along with holiday call rotation.
• Additional Information: Surgical Technologists must stay within 30 minutes of the organization when on-call to ensure prompt response if needed. Submission of documentation verifying compliance with required certifications and training is expected.
