Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care Unit [Location]
This ICU RN position involves providing specialized care in a 33-bed intensive care unit that handles trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, and other critical adult patients. The role requires clinical expertise in managing complex cases, including titration of cardiac drips and patient monitoring.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Education Requirements: Valid RN license, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must meet radius rules and travel requirements as specified
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, 36 hours per week
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, titration of drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation), interpreting and documenting electrical strips, troubleshooting ventilator equipment, and providing holistic critical care.
  • Must successfully complete a pass/fail skills exam during orientation with a 90% passing score.
  • RNs may be required to float to PCU or MedSurg units, with patient ratios typically 1:2-3 for adults and 1:4-5 on float units.
  • Additional clinical responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting ventilator equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPaps, high-flow devices, and nasal cannula, along with managing patients requiring high acuity interventions.
  • Self-scheduling is permitted for core staff; however, block scheduling requires prior approval.
  • The assignment begins on 10/26/2026 and ends on 03/01/2027, with one day of unit orientation included.
  • Candidates must submit licensure and certification documentation as part of the application process.
