Step Down Unit Nurse Nights Location not specified. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, dialysis needs, cancer diagnoses, vascular problems, sepsis, adult respiratory cases, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to patient safety, communication, and teamwork to support a busy acute care environment.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid nursing license, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a step down care setting.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Duration: Start date is 10/26/2026, with an end date of 02/08/2027.
• Responsibilities include managing adult patients with complex conditions, titrating drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin, as well as troubleshooting high flow therapy equipment.
• Additional notes: Candidates must be flexible, willing to learn, and able to work in a culturally diverse environment with patients primarily of Hispanic and Somali populations. Float to Med-Surg or ICU may be required, and communication skills are essential.
