Job Summary
The ER (Emergency Room) nurse position is located in an acute care facility. This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, managing critically ill patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory problems, abdominal pain, and mental health concerns. The successful candidate will work days, anticipate a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: ER (Emergency Room) Nurse
- Certifications and Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, minimum of 2 years of experience in larger trauma settings.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, starting 10/26/2026 through 01/25/2027.
- Responsibilities: Managing ER patient flow, utilizing electronic medical records (EPIC), drawing labs, operating advanced equipment such as vents, CPap, Bipap, conducting ABGs, and participating in fast-tracks and triage processes.
- Additional Criteria: Willingness to wait for license submission, no RTO during the first full week, and flexibility in working holidays in November/December as required.
- Orientation: One day of compliance training and a two-day departmental orientation are required before starting.
