Description

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care for a diverse patient population, including trauma, medical, and pediatrics, in a fast-paced environment. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Location: The facility serves as a trauma level II center with 33 beds, including 8 pediatric beds, and 2 trauma bays (one for adult and one for pediatric).
  • Certifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required. ENPC and NRP certifications are considered a plus.
  • Education & Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, with current licensure to work in a healthcare setting.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift pattern including day shift (7am-7pm), mid-shift (11am-11pm or 12pm-12am), and night shift (7pm-7am), totaling at least 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Manage a patient load of approximately 70-85 patients daily, including trauma and emergency cases such as chest pain, sepsis, stroke, injury, and trauma. RNs will perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and document care efficiently utilizing the Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Additional Requirements: Fingernail policies prohibit artificial nails; a valid drivers license is necessary for pre-employment verification.
  • Note: Float rotation may be required to the pediatric emergency department.
