Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor RN Night Shifts Location: The healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical Orthopedic care. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with conditions such as total joints, fractures, COPD, diabetes, wounds, and other acute diagnoses. The position requires adaptability, clinical competency, and a commitment to patient-centered care during night shifts.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: BLS Certification; License to Submit: Yes.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar setting is required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Job Information: Candidates must pass a pass/fail skills exam during orientation with a 90% minimum. Artificial nails are prohibited; nail polish is acceptable if natural nails are maintained. Candidates should be flexible and self-directed, with a focus on hourly rounding and bedside shift reports. The main patient population includes patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, with primary diagnoses such as total knee, hip replacements, and fractures. RTO requests are required upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission. The unit has a ratio of 1:5 for patient care and utilizes EPIC for charting. No tele/monitor techs are assigned to this unit, and RNs are required to read their own strips.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
