Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the OR setting during night shifts. The role requires managing a variety of surgical cases and collaborating with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

Position Description:
The OR Nurse will support surgical procedures across diverse specialties including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics. Responsibilities include scrub duties, preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative care, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
BLS Certification; 2 years of experience in the operating room; experience with Trauma cases; robotic surgery experience (DaVinci); scrubbing experience; working knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system; location flexibility; willing to wait for license submission.
Schedule:
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information:
The assignment includes 11 cases per day with a focus on neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics surgeries. The facility offers a unit or suite-based setting, and telehealth or on-call duties involve 23 calls in a 6-week schedule, with a response time of 20 minutes for trauma cases and 30 minutes for non-trauma cases. Scrubbing is mandatory, and orientation specific to the unit/department is provided.
