Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist in the specialty area of Operating Room (OR). This position involves supporting cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open heart and endovascular cases, within a healthcare facility setting. The role requires collaboration with the surgical team during high-acuity cases and adherence to safety and clinical standards.

Job Details:

  • Position Description: Unit notes include hiring process details such as profile review with MedSol Clinical and interview with the unit manager at the facility. The role encompasses responsibilities related to open heart, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), open/endovascular, and thoracic cases. Scrubbing into procedures is requiredonly registered nurses (RN) are eligible to scrub into hold the heart and assist with chest closures.
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, negotiable, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • License submission is required; no BSN required.
    • No specific trauma level or division specified, but the work is in an acute care environment.
    • Willingness to float to General Operating Room and PRN if necessary, within Zone 1.
  • Shift Notes: The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, with a call policy requiring availability one weekday per week and one weekend per month in rotation.
  • Start Date: 10/26/2026
  • End Date: 01/25/2027
