Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Pediatric Focus, located in the region, provides inpatient care for adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses such as urinary tract infections, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality nursing care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • Education Requirements: Valid nursing license; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Location Requirements: Must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
  • Years of Experience: 0 years minimum.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include patient monitoring, administering medications, troubleshooting ventilator issues, and documentation.
  • Additional Clinical Information: RNs may be required to troubleshoot telemetry strips, assist in managing electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics, and work with tele monitors and ICU equipment as needed.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, including shifts in the Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit for 1:1s as needed.
  • Orientation: 1-12 hour shift (or one night and one day), designed to acclimate to the unit.
  • Submission Requirements: Valid license to submit; RTO (Reasons To Return) needed upfront, with no additional RTO approvals during the assignment.
  • Note: Candidates must be able to pass fit testing procedures without facial hair interfering with the fit test.
