This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, supporting critically ill newborns. The role emphasizes collaboration with the inter-professional healthcare team to ensure high-quality, patient and family-centered care for patients ranging from infancy to newborns, aligned with organizational standards and core values.

Job Details

  • Position Description:
    The NICU Nurse practices as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to independently provide patient care, taking accountability for the nursing care of assigned neonatal patients. The role involves collaboration to coordinate care across the continuum, promoting individualized care based on patient needs, safety, and age considerations, while adhering to regulatory standards.

  • Required Qualifications:
    Current California RN License; Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Minimum of three years of experience in a level IV NICU; proficiency with clinical equipment, computers, and technology; ability to guide and assist unlicensed assistive personnel; schedule includes day shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
