Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Jacksonville, FL. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized unit aimed at patients requiring close monitoring and transitional care. The RN supervises licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees, ensuring safety and adherence to care plans throughout shifts.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsible and accountable for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), along with a minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience in a comparable setting.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Performs patient education, initiates discharge planning, and ensures safety standards are upheld. Provides direction and supervision to ancillary staff, participates in team activities, and reports relevant updates for patient safety and care continuity. Assumes charge responsibility after orientation and seeks ongoing professional development.
