Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center. This position involves providing specialized post-operative care to pediatric (1 year+), adult, and geriatric patients following various surgeries, including vascular, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, and more. The role supports immediate recovery and stabilization in a fast-paced, trauma-centered environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS required
• Education and Experience Requirements: 1 year of nursing experience, valid license in the applicable state, and at least 1 year of relevant PACU experience. Compact license accepted.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 11/09/2026 through 02/08/2027.
• Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing pain, administering medications, and coordinating patient discharges within a Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Clinical Skills: Ambulatory/Outpatient, Inpatient, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Reversal agents, Conscious Sedation, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Pain assessment & management, Cardiac, ENT, General, Gyn, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Urology, Pacemaker Insertion*, Post Cath Lab Procedures*, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG*, Pre/Post Cath lab procedures*, Pre/Post IR procedures*, Phase II Recovery, Starting and maintaining IVs, Discharge Instructions, Medication reconciliation, Obtain Operative/Procedural Consent, Pre/Post Operative procedures, Pre-op Assessment, Pre-op Education, Pre-Op Medications, Review History and Physical, Interpretation and communication of lab values.
• Additional information: Float rotation may be required. Candidates must have the ability to work through the entire contract period and adhere to scheduling guidelines, including working three of the five major holidays.
