Job Summary
Endoscopy Lab Specialist, Endoscopy Lab This position is based in an outpatient endoscopy center and hospital endoscopy unit within a healthcare organization. The role involves coordinating inpatient and outpatient endoscopic procedures, assessing patient needs, and providing post-procedure care. The specialist will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, comprehensive care, ensuring adherence to established standards and promoting quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current New York State Registered Nursing license, current BLS certification; ACLS certification must be obtained prior to completion of the introductory period. Experience required: 0 years.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to provide safe, comprehensive patient care efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Administer optimal patient care by providing physicians with appropriate equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate accuracy in data collection and updating patient records.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Disinfect and organize equipment and supplies used during procedures.
- Educate patients and families on healthcare aspects that promote health and well-being, including reinforcing physician instructions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate standards, policies, and procedures.
- Disseminate information and in-service education via computer, postings, and staff meetings.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships and assume additional responsibilities as appropriate.
- Additional Information: Experience with hospital aide or LPN background and excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
- Submission Requirements: License, state license verification, professional resume, Centralus Epic Questionnaire, and Health Submission Cover Sheet.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
