Job Summary
Cath Lab Technician, Cardiac Cath Lab, is available in a non-profit community hospital setting. This role involves administering and monitoring conscious sedation, assessing and monitoring patients' clinical status, and supporting various cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, including implantable devices and electrophysiology mapping and ablation. The position provides an opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); appropriate licensure; no minimum years of experience required.
- Responsibilities include monitoring patient safety during procedures, assisting with assessments, and maintaining radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Knowledge of medications used in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), radiation safety, hemodynamic support, and effective communication with the patient care team, patients, and families.
- Certification in electronic medical record systems such as EPIC and Merge is preferred.
- On-call requirements: Weekend call approximately every 4th weekend from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, and one weekday call per week from the end of shift until 7:00 AM the following morning.
- Scrubs will be provided in Navy color.
- No float rotation required.
- Submission of relevant certifications and credentials is necessary for consideration.
