Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Massachusetts. This position involves delivering quality patient care within the surgical setting, overseeing patient assessment, preparation, and post-operative care. The role requires coordination with the surgical team and adherence to hospital policies and safety standards.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administers and monitors responses to medications, guides patient care, and maintains professional standards. Utilizes computerized nursing informatics and functions as a resource regarding patient care, orientation, and staff teaching.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. One year OR experience required. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must read, write, and communicate in English. Use of lead apron required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: On-call required for off-shift, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing supplies and equipment, and participating in staff development and safety initiatives.
- Submission Requirements: Two references within 2 years, skills checklist, and competency exam within 6 months.
