Job Summary
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in the Orthopedics specialty, located in the healthcare facility. This role involves supporting surgical procedures across various specialties, requiring a minimum of two years of experience and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). The position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily in the evening hours, with weekend and call duties included.
Job Details
- Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, valid Washington state license, and at least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician. Experience with orthopedic, general, neuro, thoracic, vascular, gynecology, urology, and robotic (da Vinci & Mako) surgeries preferred.
- Schedule: 4x10 shifts, evenings, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Willingness to take up to 5 call shifts per month, including scheduled weekend call shifts. Candidates must be adaptable to working holiday shifts and commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). Candidates should include all requested time-off requests during the submittal process.
- Required Experience: At least 2 years in surgical tech roles with relevant procedural experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in robotic surgeries (da Vinci & Mako) and electronic charting using Epic systems.
- Other Information: Candidates must have a valid Washington state license and be able to work in a community hospital setting with an average daily census of 13-18 patients. Travel experience is not required.
