Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) located in Sioux Falls, SD. This role involves administering and monitoring conscious sedation during procedures such as heart catheterizations, PCIs, pacemakers, ICDs, EP procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, venous ablations, and peripheral vascular angiograms in an acute care setting.

Job Details

  • Position: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 4-10 hour varying shifts (e.g., 0530-1600, 0630-1700, 0730-1800), with on-call duties once per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
  • Required Qualifications: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; active RN license in a State of Practice or multistate licensure privileges; minimum of 2 years cath lab experience; graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program (preferred); bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with conductance systems such as Pyxis, XIM (Philips monitoring), Epic, Xcelera, ultrasounds, Angiojets, EKOS, and Acist contrast injection systems; experience with sterile procedures and cardiac equipment
  • Responsibilities: Administering conscious sedation, circulating in sterile environments, supporting procedures including echocardiograms, angiograms, and device implantations; working within a team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Additional Information: Orientation program lasting 4-6 shifts based on experience; Elective removal of any specific hospital, clinic, or employer names; must badge in and out at the facility; scrubs provided; no mention of experience beyond 2 years; shift start date is 10/26/2026, ending 01/25/2027
