Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Fargo This role involves managing critically ill patients across various specialty units within a large healthcare facility. The ICU nurse will be responsible for delivering specialized critical care, including titrating vasopressor drips and assisting with bedside procedures, in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, surgical, and medical cases. Ability to titrate vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. Capable of assisting with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, Tracheostomy, and line placement.
- Certifications & Experience: 2 years of ICU experience at a large hospital (over 250 beds), Level 1 trauma. Must have BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, and a valid RN license. Experience in titrating vasopressor drips is required, with proficiency in Epic charting and familiarity with equipment like IABP, EVD, Impella, and Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
- Additional Information: The selected candidate will receive approximately 32 hours of orientation, including hospital and unit-specific training. Call is not required. The role requires float capability within all critical care departments and possibly to medical-surgical units as needed.
- Submission Requirements: Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and hold all required certifications at the time of submission. Candidates who have previously worked for the organization should have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
