Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, Emergency Room Located in Central California, this position involves providing nursing care in the emergency department, including triage, treatment, and discharge for patients across all age groups. The role requires delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment and ensuring patient safety and effective treatment.
Job Details
- Location: Central California
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred, current RN license in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire or transfer, valid AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor.
- Essential Functions: Performs accurate triage assessments, monitors and manages patient conditions, provides medication education, recognizes symptoms of urgency, and documents nursing care accurately. Demonstrates competence in routine nursing skills, electrocardiogram interpretation, emergency response procedures, and coordinates effectively with inpatient units.
- Additional Information: Completes timely patient assessments and notifications, manages critical care interventions such as Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations, and performs safety and quality checks routinely.
