Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Nurse in California. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a critical care setting, including management of patients with multi-system failure requiring ventilation, neuro/trauma, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic monitoring. The role requires supervision and delegation to ancillary personnel, ensuring quality care and safety.

Job Details

  • Position involves planning, coordination, and delivery of nursing care in a critical care environment.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire or transfer; High School Education/GED or equivalent; Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; Six months previous critical care experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Essential functions include administering medications, intravenous therapy, monitoring ECG rhythms, managing mechanical ventilation, and assessing neurological status.
  • Must be proficient in using medical equipment for neurological, pulmonary, and multisystem monitoring; capable of developing multidisciplinary care plans and educating patients and families.
  • Completion of all unit-specific safety and quality control checks.
  • Must have Epic electronic health record system proficiency.
  • Additional requirements: Must receive all required vaccinations, participate in E-Verify, and adhere to organizational policies.
