Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Nurse
• Location: San Luis Obispo, California
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor (preferred); at least 1 year of full-time experience in the operating room
• Essential Functions: Competent to circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures; knowledgeable of aseptic technique principles; capable of operating routine surgical equipment; able to prepare patients for surgery with proper anatomical positioning; perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment; handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely; access facility information systems for patient care information; ensure safety, security, emergency preparedness, and proper waste control; document tissue temperature and package integrity, and handle other associated duties as assigned.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; CNOR preferred.
• Additional Information: Must have Epic experience.
