Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary assignment in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in an outpatient endoscopy setting. This position involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing procedural diagnostic and treatment interventions, including complex procedures such as EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, and Manometry. The role requires a proactive and adaptable nursing professional capable of managing diverse clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Position Description: 8-week assignment for an Endoscopy RN working 10-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with varying days off based on department needs. The role requires on-call availability during weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts per month.
• Required Qualifications: Active NY license, ACLS and BLS certifications, minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an endoscopy or similar procedural setting, and proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC charting system experience; previous PACU or endoscopy unit experience is advantageous.
• Additional Responsibilities: Supporting an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. RN must demonstrate competency in managing conscious sedation, airway management, and interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have in-hand NY licensure and meet all listed qualifications for consideration.
