Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, WI. This position involves providing critical care in a busy trauma level II emergency department. The role requires skilled nursing in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality patient care across diverse conditions including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Job Details

  • Position: ER RN Emergency Room, Wausau, WI
  • Location: Wausau, WI
  • Schedule: Evenings, 12-hour shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Certifications and Education: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALSARC or AHA; Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience Requirements: 2 years of clinical experience; trauma level II experience required; prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory; if no prior travel, 2 years of trauma 1 experience is required
  • Additional Qualifications: Trauma Level II unit experience, EPIC charting proficiency, ability to draw labs, and manage patient care independently in a face-paced environment
  • Unit Details: Trauma level II, 18 beds, stroke certified, equipped for cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory care; RN responsibilities include lab draws, neb treatments, medication dispensing, and patient assessment
  • Schedule Details: Evening shifts (0900-2100, 1000-2200, or 1100-2300), 12 hours, with a possibility of on call; every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Additional Information: Hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, able to work independently, and manage tasks efficiently; COVID and flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season with mask requirements for those declining vaccination
