Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (MS REHAB) Wenatchee, WA
This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a rehabilitation unit, following unit-specific standards and adhering to the Washington Nurse Practice Act. The nurse will coordinate and deliver compassionate care, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during the assigned shift.
Job Details
- Required to have a Washington State / Compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Will float to Med Surgical unit and may float between Mares and Central Campuses; float in rotation not required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Develops, implements, and reassesses patients individualized plans of care, including administration of medications, nursing procedures, and treatments.
- Continually evaluates discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs, updating as necessary.
- Documents patient assessments, care provided, interventions, and responses accurately.
- Performs holistic ongoing assessments and responds appropriately to patient status.
- Coordinates nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.
- Provides health education to patients and families in a timely manner, sharing written informational materials.
- Delegates tasks appropriately and supervises care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Participates in performance evaluation and continuous quality improvement processes.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with all members of the healthcare team.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment per hospital and unit policies.
- Responsible for providing care in compliance with policies and standards, maintaining current knowledge of workflows and evidence-based procedures.
