Job Summary
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Alaska. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a long-term care facility. The position requires prior travel experience and an active Alaska license, with the flexibility to work rotating shifts. The assignment offers a choice of 13 or 26-week durations, with on-site orientation and clinical responsibilities centered around dementia, Alzheimers, and other LTC diagnoses.
Job Details
- Position Description: LTC RN with previous travel experience required. Must possess an active Alaska license. Start date ASAP. Shift schedules are rotating, with shifts either days or nights, dependent on facility needs.
- Required Qualifications: Active Alaska license, BLS certification, at least 1 year of LTC experience, and successful completion of the on-site training for Alaska Food Worker Certification (one-time, $10 fee).
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for residents with dementia, Alzheimers, and other LTC diagnoses. Clinicians will handle procedures such as glucose monitoring, G-tube feedings, IV hydration, and wound care. On-call is not required, but some float within scope may be necessary. Candidates must be willing to work at least two major winter holidays and adhere to RTO policies.
