Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse Location unspecified. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for oncology patients within a medical surgical environment. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice or equivalent, BLS certification, and chemotherapy certification.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a PCU with Oncology and chemotherapy certification.
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC).
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Requirements: Must have PCU with Oncology experience and chemotherapy certification. No religious exemptions for COVID are permitted at this facility.
- Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, formulating individualized care plans, providing direct patient care, supervising team members, and documenting care activities in accordance with policies and standards.
- The candidate will participate in unit or facility shared leadership, promote patient safety, and support continuous quality improvement.
