Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse for a position in the ICU specializing in adult and geriatric patient care. The role involves utilizing all components of the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Position: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse
  • Certifications and Education: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS Certification; no minimum years of experience required
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrates leadership in daily activities, administers medications and treatments according to standards, participates in patient care conferences, documents care appropriately, and advocates for patients and families.
  • Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS Certification, experience with accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, and other advanced ICU procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, LTAC, trauma level I or II experience, travel experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Additional Information: Ability to handle complex ICU responsibilities including managing various invasive procedures, critical patient monitoring, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
