Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Templeton Located amongst the oak trees, the healthcare provider seeks an ER nurse to deliver exceptional nursing care to patients of all ages in an acute care setting. The position involves triage, treatment, and discharge care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge care for emergency department patients, from newborns to geriatrics. This position is represented by CNA.
- Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred); Current RN license in state of practice (required); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor (required); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor (required); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor (required); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer; One year in acute care experience (required).
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Completes accurate triage assessment on all patients and notifies the Emergency MD of all abnormal signs, symptoms, and vital signs 100% of the time. Recognizes symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other emergencies, providing appropriate interventions. Demonstrates competency in medication administration, intravenous therapy, care of indwelling catheters and drains, and medical equipment use. Interprets ECG rhythms and manages care during life-threatening emergencies, including Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations. Performs thorough documentation and safety checks consistently.
