Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Phoenix East. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a specialized unit that manages patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a medical-surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring safety and fostering patient education.

Job Details

  • Location: Phoenix East
  • Position Description: The RN maintains the delivery of quality care by following the nursing care plan and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience preferred.
  • Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborating on patient care and education, maintaining accurate documentation, initiating discharge planning, and facilitating team communication.
  • Additional duties: Participating in patient rehabilitation programs, delegating tasks appropriately, contributing to a positive work environment, and pursuing ongoing professional development.
  • Required qualifications include appropriate certifications, educational background, and patient care experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in a progressive care environment and familiarity with safety protocols.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
