Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in an urban medical center environment with a focus on supporting high-volume obstetric care. This role involves providing acute nursing care for mothers and newborns, ensuring safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position offers a dynamic, fast-paced setting with a diverse patient population.
Job Details
- Location: Urban medical center with a 32-bed Labor and Delivery unit, equipped with advanced fetal monitoring and neonatal care technology.
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and American Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification; valid licensing as an RN with 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery; must have experience with electronic fetal monitoring, C-Section circulation, and Supervised Vaginal Exams (SVE) competency.
- Additional Information: Candidate must demonstrate competency in SVE and C-Section circulation, with a preference for those with previous experience in Level IV high-volume units. The role requires a team-oriented, positive attitude and adherence to unit dress code, including solid-colored scrubs.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
