Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility providing specialized care for neurological and neurosurgical patients. The position involves caring for heavy neuro units with opportunities to learn and develop expertise in neurology. The role requires flexibility to float between units and work scheduled nights.
Job Details
- Position Description: Telemetry RN position on a Neuro Heavy Unit, with responsibilities including management of postsurgical neurology patients and a variety of neurology diagnoses. No neuro experience required but willingness to learn is essential.
- Certifications and Education Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; at least 1 year of telehealth experience; valid state license (preferably compact).
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable with NIH scale and proficient at caring for neurology patients, including post-surgical care and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, craniotomies, strokes, and trauma is preferred.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to questions regarding prior experience with Providence facilities and provide two references covering the last year of employment.
