Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care to neurology and neurosurgical patients, including post-surgical care and management of various neurological diagnoses. The position requires proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and experience with neuro patient care, with scheduling primarily during night shifts.

Job Details

• Certifications and Experience: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; at least 1 year of related nursing experience including Neuro experience; valid state license (compact license accepted); ability to work night shifts (12 hours) with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Care for neurology/neurosurgical patients, manage Neuro Stepdown and post-surgical care, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer procedural sedation, and monitor spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Will be expected to float between units as needed; successful candidates must meet unit needs and may be required to work holidays, with prior scheduling requests to be made during submittal.
• Candidates must include responses to whether they have previously worked at a healthcare facility within the specified organization and provide two references covering at least one year within the past three years prior to start.
