Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing competent clinical nursing care within a hospital setting, focusing on patients with complex needs. The role requires coordination of patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and patient education.

Job Details

• Position Description: Reports to the Nurse Manager or Director, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, participating in education and evaluation activities, and utilizing healthcare standards and policies in daily practice. Skills include bedside point of care testing, prioritization, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing, licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certifications & Skills: Experience in clinical nursing care, nursing process, patient assessment, patient education, bedside point of care testing, healthcare standards, performance improvement activities, communication systems, interdisciplinary team collaboration, and discharge planning.
• Additional Information: The position requires at least one year of nursing experience, Epic electronic health record system experience, and OR circulating experience. The schedule includes a rotating on-call requirement, with one night of call per week and every 4th weekend on-call shifts.
