Description

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the area. This position involves providing acute patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment, demonstrating knowledge of evidence-based practices, and efficiently managing emergency cases. The role requires float capabilities to other units as needed to support patient care.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree, Location, & Experience: CA Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications, and at least 2 years of ER experience.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days; minimum of 36 hours per week with a start date of 11/02/2026 and end date of 02/01/2027.
  • Responsibilities: Demonstrate understanding of pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulatory issues, and service line disease processes. Accurately document assessments, perform clinical procedures such as IV placement, Foley management, dressing changes, and provide patient and family education. Recognize changes in patient conditions, report errors, and act as a patient advocate. Work independently and collaboratively within the clinical team, complete tasks within designated timeframes, take initiative, and conduct necessary follow-up.
  • Additional Information: Must be willing to float to Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units when not utilized in the Emergency Department. Experience with charting system Epic, trauma level II experience preferred, and experience with emergency procedures such as arterial line management, intubation, and sedation management is highly desirable.
