Job Summary
An Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse is needed at a Level 1 trauma healthcare facility. This role involves circulating cases in the OR, including cardiovascular procedures, and requires collaboration within a busy surgical environment that utilizes Epic (Optime) for documentation. The position offers a rotating shift schedule, supporting a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Position Description:
Provides circulating services in the OR focusing on cardiovascular and open heart surgeries. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, operating equipment, and supporting other surgical specialties as needed. The OR maintains 25 rooms with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1. -
Required Qualifications:
RN license in a compact state or ND, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum 2 years of cardiovascular experience, and at least 1 year of OR experience are required. -
Schedule:
Rotating shift with 10-hour days and rotating on-call support, totaling at least 40 hours per week. -
Additional Information:
The role involves floating to other ORs and supporting off-site call duties. Orientation is conducted by the OR educator upon arrival, with badge-in and badge-out procedures in place. Scrub attire is provided in Ceil Blue.
