Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Infusion Center, offering an opportunity to work in an oncology-focused care environment. The role involves administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care treatments to adult and geriatric patients. It is a full-time assignment with a schedule of four 10-hour days per week, providing a balanced work-life structure.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Infusion Center
- Shift: 4x10 Days, 0700-1730
- Patient Ratio: 1:6-7
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: Floating within specialty and acuity likely required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (required), Chemo (ONC/ONCC) preferred
- Charting System: EPIC
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in oncology/infusion, with experience managing ports, administering chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies.
- Specific Skills: Managing infusion pumps, blood and blood product administration, venous access, oncology patient education, and symptom management.
- Additional Job Details: Experience with adult and geriatric oncology patients, administering chemotherapy, supportive care treatments, lumbar punctures, intrathecal chemotherapy, and blood transfusions.
- Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week required.
- Certifications Required: Active MD or Compact RN License, CPI Certificate, BLS, ACLS, NRP or AAP (preferred).
- Onboarding & Compliance: Labs within 72 hours of contract signing, compliance documents due five days prior to start, modules required as part of onboarding.
