Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN Portland, ME. This role involves supporting the perioperative patient population in a busy PACU setting with opportunities to float and assist across multiple units. The position requires providing pre-operative and post-operative care for various cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality recovery.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; online education modules and unit orientation provided.
- Education & Experience: Must have ICU experience, be able to read tele strips, and have prior travel experience; 3 years PACU experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS; ICU experience; cardiac, trauma, or PACU experience; ability to support floating to various units as needed.
- Additional Information: Must have trauma Level 1 experience; experience with cardiac drips, IVs, tele monitoring, and post-procedure care is required; flexibility and excellent communication skills are essential; ability to work a rotating weekend call schedule.
