Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist in the healthcare provider industry, based in a high-volume facility with a diverse patient population. This position involves caring for high-risk obstetric patients and supporting postpartum treatment following delivery. The role is suitable for experienced professionals equipped to handle high acuity situations and manage census surges.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Valid BLS and NRP certifications; at least 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetric care, including magnesium sulfate therapy and EPIC electronic health record system proficiency; valid compact license in hand upon submission.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum hemorrhage, Foley catheter management, Pitocin administration, and substance withdrawal cases.
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, managing postpartum hemorrhage, and supporting delivery and recovery processes.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to specific questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the past three years.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
