Job Summary

Medical-Surgical Floor Stroke Stepdown. This position provides care for adult patients with stroke, altered mental status, renal and pulmonary conditions, dialysis needs, isolation precautions, and other medical-surgical diagnoses. The role involves working night shifts in a 48-hour-per-week assignment with potential float rotation.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience; prior travel experience; active New York registered nurse license and verification of all active registered nurse licenses; current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, which may be obtained before the assignment start.
• Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 p.m.7:00 a.m., 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/16/202602/13/2027.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role supports adult patients with stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis needs, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), isolation precautions, pneumonia, and other pulmonary or general medical-surgical conditions. Clinical equipment may include intravenous pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes. Electronic medical record experience with EPIC is required. Navy blue scrubs are required.
