Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a critical care environment, with the flexibility to float between different ICU floors and lower acuity units as needed. The position requires working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS; Education: at least 1 year of clinical experience; Location Requirements: valid state license, compact license accepted; Years of Experience: 1 year minimum; Shift: Nights; Shift Hours: 12 hours; Schedule: minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Responsible for managing various critical care procedures, including arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line care, and neuro intensive care.
  • Additional responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing Ports, assisting with chest tube insertion/removal, and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs).
  • Preferred qualifications include trauma level I or II experience and prior experience with community hospital settings.
  • The role involves providing patient care for adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 16 patients in a 47-bed unit.
  • Schedule includes working every other weekend, with potential for additional shifts to meet unit needs.
  • The candidate must be open to floating within scope, including to lower acuity units, and working three out of five major holidays.
  • Candidates should submit two references covering at least one year of work in a healthcare setting within the last three years.
  • Candidates should have experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.
  • RTO restrictions: RTO must be included at the time of submission, and refusal to float may lead to termination.
  • The assignment start date is November 17, 2026, with an end date of February 16, 2027.
