Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: Illinois
• Shift Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or active application process, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; at least 1 year of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of patients with complex medical conditions
• Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including those with heart failure, diabetic conditions, and end-of-life care
  • Monitor telemetry and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient treatment plans
  • Document patient care accurately using electronic charting system
  • Adhere to unit policies regarding infection control, patient safety, and quality standards
  • Float to other units as needed, including overflow areas and occasionally ICU, to support staffing needs
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, adhering to holiday and weekend requirements
• Submission Requirements: Last four digits of SSN, active IL license or proof of application, confirmation of certifications, understanding of drug-free campus policy
