Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse, MS TELE, is located in a healthcare facility environment. This role involves providing specialized patient care to individuals requiring medical and telemetry nursing services. The position is part of a float pool assignment, offering dynamic clinical experience across various units within the healthcare system.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a large trauma level 1, teaching facility environment is required. Previous EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Position Duration: Assignment for 16-26 weeks.
  • Work Environment: The role involves floating to support units including hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, general surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN, as well as to areas outside of the candidate's primary department with like skill and ability.
  • Additional Information: Must be flexible with scheduling, including working two out of four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. Bi-weekly orientations occur on Mondays. All employment gaps over 90 days should be explained, and complete work history (bed count, EMR system, facility type) is required for submission. Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable transportation or a personal/rental vehicle is strongly recommended.
