Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to neonates within a level III NICU setting. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience, including at least one year in the specialty, and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment caring for high-risk infants.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) candidates willing to obtain NRP if not already certified will be considered.
  • Education Requirements: Appropriate nursing license in the state of practice; valid compact license required at the time of submission.
  • Experience: Two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in neonatal intensive care.
  • Location Requirements: Candidate must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include administering blood and blood products, managing arterial lines, assisting with high-risk deliveries, providing respiratory support, managing PICC and midlines, and caring for neonatal patients with conditions such as prematurity, sepsis, NEC, and respiratory distress syndrome.
  • Additional relevant skills include use of CPAP, BIPAP, ventilators, high-frequency vents, and equipment such as isolettes and warmers.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, including potential float to nearby units with eligible experience.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include responses to whether the candidate has prior experience at a Providence facility, with locations and dates, along with two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
