Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse in Thornton, Colorado. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the interventional radiology unit of a healthcare facility. The role requires collaboration with a skilled team to support a variety of vascular and diagnostic procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Location: Thornton, Colorado
  • Position Description: The role involves working in the Interventional Radiology department, supporting procedures such as Para/thora/LVO/FNA/Mid line/Piccline/Kypho/PE thrombectomy, vascular access, conscious sedation, and critical care. The unit has a 150-bed capacity and a dedicated team of staff working day shifts and on-call hours.
  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week. On-call is 5P to 7A on weeknights and 24 hours during weekends between 7-9 shifts per month.
  • Required Qualifications: Current hospital Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) experience, valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Meditech experience, vascular access skills, PICC line or midline experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit employs new equipment and technology, with a collaborative environment that emphasizes team support. Leadership fosters a positive culture, and staff are encouraged to thrive in their roles with various schedule options.
