Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in Sacramento, CA. This role involves providing specialized care to patients within the ICU, primarily managing medical ICU diagnoses. The position offers 12-hour night shifts and requires flexibility to float to sister facilities and MedSurg at Woodland.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, PALS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; license to submit required.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend shift and rotating holidays.
• Additional Information: Candidates must complete the Dysphagia screening exam through Relias within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance, passing on the first attempt. The ICU has a horseshoe layout and is adjacent to PACU. The unit primarily cares for patients with common medical ICU diagnoses.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS are required for this role.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to sister facilities and MedSurg at Woodland.
• Responsibilities include: Reading and interpreting EKG strips, working with hospitalist or intensivist in house, and managing ventilator support.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; report is at the bedside, OT and extra shifts available, self-scheduling out 4 weeks.
