Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse in Spokane, WA This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a 24-bed capacity. The role requires managing diverse patient populations including trauma, psychiatric cases, and general medical conditions, utilizing advanced skills in ER procedures and electronic medical records.
Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Nurse
- Location: Spokane, WA
- Shift: Evenings, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MOAB/CPI certifications; 3-5 years of experience in a Level 3 or higher Trauma Center or equivalent; experience with RSI, conscious sedations, lines/drains/tubes, general ER skills; EPIC experience required for preceptor and traditional travelers; fluency in managing trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and abdominal pain patient types
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS or ENPC, TNCC or ATCN certifications
- Additional Information: Support on the unit includes CNA and ER Tech staff, with treatment and monitoring equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and bedside/centralized telemetry monitors. Orientation includes a 1-week general hospital orientation, 24 weeks of unit-specific training, and specific onboarding for preceptors.
