Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in the location your organization serves. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU/9E), supporting patients recovering from complex surgical procedures and trauma cases. The position requires clinical expertise, compassion, and the ability to work in a high-acuity environment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RN License, BLS certification, and strong Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience. Preferred: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC, ACLS. Current Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience of 2 years, with at least 2 previous travel assignments.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Care for ICU patients, including trauma, transplant, vascular, gastrointestinal, orthopedic/neuro spine procedures, and general surgery.
- Orientation: Provided on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Weekend Work: 3 out of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule.
- Call: Availability for 2 calls during the 6-week schedule.
- Holidays: As needed.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have current Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience and meet all certification requirements.
