Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift in the facilitys high-risk obstetrics unit. This role involves providing expert nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients, including assisting with deliveries, procedures, and patient education. The position requires prior charge nurse experience, with responsibilities including leadership within the unit and floating within scope as needed.
Job Details
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPN, and AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer. Pending licenses accepted.
- Education Requirements: Licensure as an RN in the state; experience requirement: 1 year.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant obstetric nursing experience.
- Charge Nurse experience is preferred or willingness to train as charge.
- Will work approximately every other weekend, with a guarantee of 60 hours per two-week pay period.
- The role may include floating within scope to other units as needed.
- Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, Cesarean sections, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care, alongside other obstetrical procedures and patient management tasks.
- Submission requires 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, including possibly charge or lead roles.
- Must be willing to work a block schedule and be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
- Providers must have their license in hand prior to Auto Offer; candidates with pending licenses are eligible for consideration.
- No specific experience with LTAC, trauma level I or II, or community hospital experience is required.
- No mention of specific shift hours beyond nights, but nurse must be available for scheduled 12-hour night shifts.
