Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse unspecified location. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a progressive care environment. The position requires experience with Epic electronic medical records and the ability to titrate pressors, along with compliance with unit protocols and patient safety standards.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association), NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (preferred)
  • Education Requirements: Relevant nursing licensure and certification as specified by state regulations
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a similar environment or level 1 trauma experience if no prior travel experience
  • Location Requirements: Must be separated from previous employment with the organization for a minimum of 6 months
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend required, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Additional Responsibilities: Ability to perform initial pass/fail testing using relays practice tests, float to different units including emergency department holds, inpatient holds, and post-anesthesia care units, with floating in 4-hour blocks while on shift.
  • Requirements: BLS-AHA certification, ACLS-AHA certification, NIHSS preferred. Must be able to titrate pressors and demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must take relays testing during onboarding and day one testing at the facility.
