Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Concord, NC. This position involves providing specialized care for high-risk antepartum, labor, and post-partum patients in a Level 3 Trauma Stroke Center of Excellence. The role requires managing active labor, triage, pre-eclampsia, hypertension disorders, and delivery complications in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), minimum of 2 years LDRP experience, valid drivers license, and additional certifications as applicable
  • Support within the Department: Secretary (Monday-Friday 8-5), scrub technician, OB mentor, charge nurse available 24/7, in-hospital phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, intensivist, OB physicians, anesthesia/CRNA team, telemetry monitoring at bedside and nurses station
  • Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, GE monitors, Monica Novii, Neptune units
  • Float: Within region and scope of practice, to facilities within specified regions as needed, with per-shift compensation for float travel time
  • Orientation: 2 days departmental, including Neonatal Emergency Operations (NEO)
  • Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation, no call requirement, holiday work at 75%, up to 6 days of approved time off, shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:30 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM, cycle every 4 weeks
  • Additional Notes: Hospital-provided green scrubs, free parking, unit culture characterized by hardworking team players
